In the German protestant tradition they have “Advent Calendars” for Christmas. Advent means arrival, and these calendars were created to “help” children “survive” the December to Christmas. This tradition was created in the 19th century, and prince Albert spread it to the Anglian world.

This is the peacock sock from Maggie’s Rags…I like the pattern. I would like to make it in peacock colors…It’s a tiny square stitch pattern, which would do fine as anything… but I don’t know how it’s done… And it’s a copyrighted pattern too, and I have no possibility to get the pattern
