As Rachel points out, the letters are not quite correct. The Nun should be on the left side of Shin, not the right side…
Shin stands for “sham” – “there”, in Israel the letter is Pe standing for “po” – “here”.
It’s actually better with “nun – gimel” because those letters stand for “great miracle – nes gadol”, and that’s what Chanukkah stands for too 😀

Ok… time to write something here…

Er… hmm… uh… What to write in a block?

It’s the last of Socktober, and I managed to knit one pair of socks. One pair. Me – one (1) pair. I, who can knit a pair of socks in 12 hours. I’m a little disappointed, but… There will be more Socktobers 🙂

Tomorrow will start Lacevember. Let’s see if I can produce something then. Hopefully.

I have been thinking about wash- and dishcloths. I have drawn a couple of charts, and should knit them to see if they work and what they will look like.

I have been making my Samhain / Halloween swaps… Here’s a “bat kids in bed”. It looked so hilarious I just had to take a picture 😀 The black thingy in the background is Nekoyama’s Amineko cat being made. Legs, tail, ears, muzzle and face are missing, but he has already a silk ribbon LOL

I have also made a double-knit “mössa” (beanie) to my hubby.

The thing is that I am embroidering an Imbolc throw or afghan of what to call it. But I keep pushing it out of my mind all the time, and making all kinds of other things before it. And this irritates me… the thing is worth getting done and I’d love to use it and be proud of my work, but… it’s not “important”. I think I need to make it important…
Ok, I’ll do that the first thing next year, before I do anything else.

I should…

I should be crocheting a cat. I should be crocheting four cats, to be precise. I am here by my computer, surfing and getting more stuff on my “to do list”…

Like this one, cable twin set. No, it’s not my style, doesn’t fit for a girl with big boobies, wide back, short neck and waist… it’ll fit my sisters though. I like it a lot.

batteries and swaps

Now I finally have the batteries for my camera… a looooooong month without being able to take pictures…
I received the Hot Socks swap package today 🙂

Pretty socks in nice colors, will work perfectly with the Monet yarn and my handbag, which I have mentioned earlier. (Poor Jessica 😦)
(No, they are not perfect, but I love them anyway. For some weird reason I haven’t got many socks knitted for me during my life… My first pair was knitted for me by my darling aunt, and they are pink, light blue and black and look like English liquorice candy LOL I love them. The second was the pair that killed me in Sock Wars – yes, a month ago. This is the third pair. No, now I’m lying. My sister gave me one pair at Yule present when I was about 12. So this is the fourth pair of socks I have ever got.)

Time flies…

and I’m not even having fun 😦
I’m still sick. The F*** flu sits on my throat and won’t give up, and I haven’t slept properly for a month now… or maybe more. I have lost almost totally the apprehension of time, and I’m late with all my swaps… and I’m getting stressed because of all that, and on top of that October is almost over and I have managed to knit one (1!!!) pair of socks… Because I sleep most of the time… Not fun at all. 😦
I don’t even remember whom I have contacted and informed of that the package will be late, and whom not… Perhaps I need to write to all and know that it’s better to say it twice than no time at all… But I’m tired. I’ll do it a bit later… After I have slept a little.
